Around the Camp Fire

Luibhean is a song about determination, in difficult times with uncertain futures we still come together & create beauty in the world, we can't do this alone, it takes community, we must re-member, find our tribes & support & inspire each other

Filmed at The Forest Ridge Project November 2020

‘I have noticed that when all the lights are on, people tend to talk about what they are doing – their outer lives. Sitting round in candlelight or firelight, people start to talk about how they are feeling – their inner lives. They speak subjectively, they argue less, there are longer pauses.’

Jeanette Winterson

Our vision for the land was a place for people to gather round, a space to talk - easy chat and hard truths … where firelight encouraged us to share deeper thoughts and reflections.

When we come together the evenings are special - we share food and drink, stare at the stars, play music and listen to the owls. We talk about books we’ve read, gigs we’ve been to, films we’ve seen, stuff that has amazed us or depressed us or made us think. Our hopes and fears for the future and what The Forest Ridge means to us.

Craic, conviviality, home-made wine and night skies.

A welcome awaits.
